Chocolate Covered Peanut Butter Balls

I made these in college with Chad Fulmer. It was his recipe and I still have the blue index card he wrote out for me. Our family has made these a couple of times and, man, are they good. Delicious. I don't know why we don't make these more often. -- Stacy

Ingredients:

Cooking Dough:

1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup cocoa
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup peanut butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg

Filling:

3/4 cup peanut butter
3/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions:

Combine flour, cocoa, and baking soda. Blend well. In a large bowl, beat sugar, butter, and peanut butter. Add vanilla and egg. Beat well. Stir in flour mixture. In another bowl, combine "filling" ingredients. Roll into 30 one-inch balls. Shape dough around peanut butter balls. Place on cookie sheet and flatten with glass bottom covered with sugar.
