Salsa

We got this recipe from our friend Denise and it is our favorite salsa recipe. It makes a very fresh, restaurant-style salsa as compared to a Picante sauce that is typical of canned salsas. This salsa freezes pretty well, too. --Mark

Ingredients:

10 plum tomatoes
1 jalapeƱo pepper
2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
1 onion
2-3 sprigs of fresh cilantro, chopped
1 T white vinegar
½ T salt
1 T crushed red peppers
¼ tsp. cumin
1 T lime juice

Instructions:

Chop all ingredients finely and combine in a large bowl. Chill and enjoy!

Notes:

If you have a large food processor you can put all of the ingredients in together and mix. This recipe is not rocket science, but it is awesome! When we've made this recipe with homegrown garden veggies and herbs, it cannot be beat.
